On Wednesday 24 October, The Leasehold Roadshow will be joining forces with leading campaigners to deliver a FREE drop-in roadshow event at the Cramlington Village Club (Cramlington Working Men's Social Club).
This event will offer FREE help, information and advice to the many hundreds of Cramlington leaseholders faced with short leases.
This event has been organised and is supported by the Cramlington Development Trust, which works closely with the Cramlington Community to bring about long-term social, economic and environmental benefits to the town. The event is also supported by the Cramlington Leasehold Information Group.

Paul Reynolds, an Honoured Fellow of The National Association of Estate Agents, has been involved in the Cramlington property market since 1977. Paul owns Renown, the town’s prominent estate agency and property management company.
He was asked to join the board of Cramlington Development Trust two years ago to lead the Trust on property matters and is behind the fight for reform of the current system. The Trust was formed to bring about long-term social, economic and environmental benefits to the town and where better to start than security at home?
The majority of properties in Cramlington were sold on a leasehold basis in the 1960s, and this has proved to be a growing concern, with many with local residents facing escalating problems as the years pass.
Louie Burns, Managing Director of the Leasehold Group of companies, is a well-known and passionate speaker and advocate for the rights of leaseholders.
He is an active member of the National Leasehold Campaign and regularly consults with government on the injustices of leasehold. He has recently been appointed as trustee of the Leasehold Knowledge Partnership (LKP) and his book, The Leaseholder’s Simple Guide to Leasehold, is an Amazon bestseller (all profits are donated to the work of the LKP).
Louie will be joined at the Leasehold Roadshow by Chris Last, a lawyer from Leasehold Law and Joanna Stephenson, an RICS valuer from Leasehold Valuers .
The days event is a must-attend for leaseholders. Throughout the day, we will be covering a range of key issues whilst providing crucial information and insights, with plenty of opportunity for Q&A.
3pm to 5pm: FREE roundtable sessions with leasehold, valuation and legal experts
These hour-long sessions will offer leaseholders the opportunity to pose their questions on all aspects of leasehold, as well as meet other leaseholders facing similar issues. The sessions begin on the hour at 3pm / 4pm / 5pm.
7pm – 7.45pm: Louie Burns, leasehold campaigner and author of ‘The Leaseholder’s Simple Guide to Leasehold’
In his insightful and lively presentation, Louie will explore the challenges of leasehold and the tricks often used by freeholders, as well as outline the process and costs you might expect when extending your lease or buying your freehold. He will also outline the negotiations that will occur and how you can strengthen your position as a leaseholder. A Q&A session will complete the event.
